My Sabtastical Adventure to BodyWorlds:

I went to this Show, BodyWorlds, with my two younger siblings, (~pickletoez is one of them) back in early June. Honestly, it was the coolest exhibition I've ever seen in my life. The exhibition had real human bodies, plastisized and on display. There were skeletons, brains, lungs, hearts, arteries, kidneys, eyeballs.. and balls. ..lots of balls. No, I don't have pictures. Anyway. If you EVER get the opportunity to go and see this for yourself, I highly recommend it. It's fascinating.

I GOT TO HOLD A REAL HUMAN LUNG!! D:
it was.. squishy, spongy and oddly firm.

I took ages to go through the exhibits, only because I insisted on sketching anything that caught my attention. They even made me sign a RELEASE form just to sketch these ..so uh.. Don't sell this or I'm in trouble. C:

Enjoy!! :D

__________________________________
FACT: The black spots on the sketch of the lung are what the typical 60 year-old non-smoking human accumulates. (due to pollution, second-hand smoke, etc) Normal, un-polluted lungs appear pale pink, and cancerous, ruined lungs appear grey-black and splotchy.

Man, do I love anatomy sketch dumps, but so far only your's is going straight in to my favs!

Nice picture, I'll rate it a solid 9/10 for sheer skill, 'cause I know from experience that trying to draw something as simple as human bodyparts can be a nightmare! :D

Makes sense, since anatomy can be fun, incredibly hard and educational to draw all in the same time, but I mainly got hooked into it because of all the books on surgery and medical profession that fill the bookcases :P

+ skeletons are awesome to draw :3
