"Shhh... Shhh... It's ok. It's all right. I'm here. Just let go. There you go... There you go..."

My feature print for Animethon...!!!
I'll be selling this 11x17" for 15 dollars. Debating on making smaller 6x9" versions, too. Stop by my booth and grab one while supplies last!

I won't get too into detail about this specific scene from Bioshock Infinite, because it contains spoilers, but it got me right in the feels. The monstrous bird-like character featured in the center is Songbird, a gigantic creature similar to a Big Daddy. His sole purpose is to protect Elizabeth (the lady in the foreground). She has spent her entire life with this protector, having considered it a friend in childhood. Similar to a Big Daddy, Songbird's eyes change color to project its mood. Yellow to symbolize indifference, red to portray rage and green to express happiness. The significance of C-A-G-E is the melody that those letters would play when translated into song. The whistler featured on the top is used to play that melody to soothe Songbird and control him to an extent. The two symbols on the top left and right are related to Elizabeth's necklace. During the game she asks you to choose one or the other.

Watch the Songbird scene I'm talking about right here:
