Just got bored and drew some birch trees in a dark snowy forest.
I bought some new Copic markers a while back-- the thick fat ones, so I wanted to see how well they could cover a sheet in a quick drawing. Turns out, pretty well. Would definitely reccommend even though they're a bit pricey (about 7 dollars Canadian each).
I like how the picture turned out and all.. but I can't help but feel like I'm being watched...
Drawn in about 2 hours with black Steadtler pigment liner pens and four different colours of wide prismacolor marker. Touched up slightly later on in Photoshop.
Hehe - yeah, I LOVE pictures like that. When you can stare at it for a good long time and not notice that something has been looking BACK AT YOU the entire time-- that's good stuff.
Here's another really good example of what I mean by a different artist I like: (slightly nsfw - butt!) [link]
Such a gloomy, eerie piece...The way the moon hangs over the forest reminds me of someone watching, especially since it's white and surrounded by dark branches (perhaps like limbs?)...I love the deeper meaning one could interpret from this artwork and connect to Slender Man...Absolutely brilliant!
